Total Internet Group first .au registrar to be granted auDA ISS certification

The Total Internet Group, consisting of Discount Domain Name Services (DDNS), Cheaper Domains and Information Brokers, has today announced its status as first registrar to be fully certified by the Australian .au regulator, auDA.

Consisting of a comprehensive business and consumer information portfolio, Total Internet Group’s services include domain name registration; hosting services; search engine optimisation; property reports; personal property reports; business and ASIC reports; credit reports; trademark registration; and police checks.

The certification was obtained in response to auDA’s October 2013 announcement that all accredited registrars must be ISS compliant by October 17th 2015.

CEO Rod Keys said that as discussion around client data security became more prominent in Information Technology circles in recent years, the Total Internet Group moved quickly to secure its status as a certified supplier in the business intelligence space.

“We have worked very hard over the last six months to achieve this certification, which is based on the ISO 27001 world standard,” he said.

“To achieve our clients’ trust, the security of their information is paramount to us, which is why we have campaigned to become the first .au registrar group to achieve certification.

“It’s important to us to be an industry leader in this sense.”

Auda introduced the ISS data policy (click here) as part of the .au registrar accreditation process.

The upcoming launch of Information Brokers, Total Internet’s new business-to-business information portal with full ISS certification, will allow clients to conduct business and consumer investigations in a safe environment with full assurance of security and confidentiality.

Total Internet would like to reiterate its position that any business or government seeking a guaranteed secure provider should prioritise an auDA ISS certified supplier.
